Farmer John Stephens: Farm Workers

The workers John employed on the farm tended to come and go; some of the staff was casual to help with the harvest. Although the pocket book does not give details of the role each servant performed, John Williams was clearly a skilled worker of some sort, commanding a hefty £41 per annum in wages - rising to £41/10/- in 1902 before he was replaced by John Robinson.
Curiously, no mention is made of wages for Evangeline Jones, the housekeeper.
