The Railway in Brecon
The importance of the railways in Brecon in 1891 can't be understated. As well as providing quick, cheap transport for both people and goods, it was a huge local employer due to the junction of three railways. An examination of the census for Brecon for that year shows how many different jobs were available on the railways.
