Community & Civic Life Charles Evan-Thomas Charles Evan-Thomas was elected as County Councillor for Llangammarch in Breconshire in the elections of 1889 and was the first chairman of Breconshire County Council. He lived at The Knoll in Neath, Glamorganshire, and was a barrister and a Justice of the Peace for Breconshire. In his History of Brecknock, Theophilus Jones notes that Councillor Evan-Thomas:
He was replaced in his role as chairman by J
R Bailey who by that time was Lord Glanusk. Evan-Thomas died in the autumn
of 1902. |
